Sheila Lisa Walsh B.A., B.ED.


A graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, Lisa finished her education training in England at Memorial's Harlow campus. A native of Bay De Verde,  who now resides in Gander,NL. Lisa teaches Esthetics at College of the North Atlantic Gander Campus. 
Lisa has worked in all areas of the beauty industry, starting as a Hair Designer she went on to become a Make up Artist, Colorist, Salon Owner, Color Technician, Educational Instructor, Esthetician and is now involved in manufacturing,curriculim development, educational endeavors and freelance work.
While in England Lisa was introduced to Aromatherapy.The idea of offering natural preservatives ( essential oils ) and indigenous ingredients to create beauty and health products and services was something Lisa wanted to pursue. In 2002 Lisa's salon Impact Image Studio offered in house spa products for both retail and spa treatments. In 2005 she formed a company,  IC Spa Products, with 2 others and pursued product development of spa lines using seaweed, iceberg water and antioxidant berries. Ossetra tm wondrous earth was developed and launched at Spa Esthetique International in 2006.In  2009 Lisa sold her interest in IC Spa Products Inc. and pursued developing a retail oriented line for home spa treatments and products that are natural and organic. Indigena was created from Lisa's passion to offer pure products to clients who want healthy, safe, effective and affordable products. With the assistance of her business partner Mansour Almatarneh  they are  pursuing research and development of using various indigenous ingredients from Newfoundland and Labrador in home spa treatments.

Lisa was nominated for 2008 and 2009 Entrepreneur of the year in the category "Innovation." and "Start up"
rstylist/Esthetician in Newfoundland and Labrador to complete a teaching degree.
She has worked as a curriculum developer for post secondary institutions.
A member of the first Hairstylist Accreditation team that accessed  all colleges in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador to ensure students receive the best training possible.
Lisa was a member of the Skills Canada Scopes  ( Competition) Development Team for three years.

As a teacher she has trained award winning estheticians and hairstylists for post secondary colleges. Being a motivating professional who has won several awards herself in the beauty industry Lisa prides herself on helping other people achieve their dreams in the exciting field of beauty. Lisa sees Indigena as a vehicle that can help people look great and feel better about themselves.
